Pickin’ in the Park will be held in Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville every Thursday from 6 p.m. until dusk from May to September. The events are free admission and weather permitting.

Come watch a double feature at the Swan Drive-In July 8 from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The movies, Minions and Monsters and American Graffiti, will show. Gate and Diner open at 6 p.m. with Minions showing at 8:55 p.m. and American Graffiti at 10:40 p.m.
American History told at Fannin Public Library July 9
The Fannin County Public Library will hold their Spilling the Tea on American History July 9 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tea-based mocktails will be served while learning about the history of tea in America. This event is adults only, no registration required.
Fundraiser for Miners Memorial Statue July 11
Mark your calendars now for Saturday, July 11, at Buck Bald Brewing in Copperhill as businesses and city leaders come together to raise money for the Miners Memorial Statue. A $25,000 grant has been received as part of the Tennessee 250 celebration, and no match is required. But the statue, a tribute to the miners and all the other copper company workers, will cost $28,800.
Introductory fly fishing class held July 11

Morganton Mountaintown Baptist Association will hold a free food distribution July 15 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at their office at 64 Tammen Drive, Blue Ridge on the upper level.

A one day VBS will be held at Young’s Chapel Baptist Church July 18 starting at 9:45 a.m. Adult class starts at 12:45 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
