East Fannin Elementary School’s Robotics recently competed in the Sphero Global Challenge against more than 500 schools from around the world. Through their hard work, coding skills, engineering knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, these students earned a place among the Top 50 teams worldwide.

In an outstanding achievement, East Fannin Elementary School finished in first place, securing a spot in the Sphero World Championship and placing our small rural school on the global STEM stage.

This accomplishment reflects not only the dedication of our students but also the exceptional leadership of Mrs. Brittany Todd, East Fannin’s STEAM and Robotics teacher. Mrs. Todd has worked tirelessly to provide students with engaging, hands-on opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Her passion for STEM education has inspired students to think critically, solve complex problems, and develop skills that will serve them well into the future.

As a parent and community volunteer, I believe achievements like this deserve to be celebrated. We often recognize athletic accomplishments, but this success demonstrates that our students are also excelling at the highest levels of academic competition. Competing against hundreds of schools worldwide and finishing first is an extraordinary accomplishment that showcases the talent, dedication, and potential of East Fannin students.
